Political intrigue abounds in this crafty thriller
See The Tony-Winning Political Thriller Oslo.
Based on true events, Oslo is an enthralling drama that takes you behind the scenes of high stakes diplomatic negotiations. It tells the story of the talks that led to the Oslo Accords of 1993, the historic first step in the Middle East peace agreement. Israelis and Palestinians gathered in Norway to hash out the terms, with two Norwegian diplomats keeping the meetings on track with a mixture of political guile and emotional generosity. Far from a dry history lesson, it's a twisty thriller which also finds time to tell the very human stories involved.
Oslo debuted Off-Broadway in 2017, before moving to the main stem the following year, where it garnered two Tony Awards, including Best Play. This Blumenthal Performing Arts production is directed by Paige Johnston Thomas.
