Why See Taylor Swift & Ed Sheeran?
Taylor Swift's musical career began to take shape when she was just in her early teens after winning a local talent show at the age of eleven. The prize was the chance to perform as an opening act for Charlie Daniels, something which helped form her burgeoning interest in country music.
A few years later, her family moved to Tennessee after she won an 'artist development deal' with a record label in Nashville. To date, Taylor Swift has released four studio albums, won six Grammy Awards, six Country Music Awards, and ten American Music Awards! The singing sensation has also been linked to several heart-throb celebs, including John Mayer and Jake Gyllenhaal, however her incredible successes and fame have done little to change her down-to-earth charms and the things she holds closest to her heart - her family and friends.
Ed Sheeran, much like Taylor Swift, started his foray into singing and songwriting from a young age. Born in Halifax, England, he began his musical career by singing at bars, clubs and festivals across the country, performing 312 in 2009 alone! In 2011 he was signed by Atlantic Records and his debut single "The A Team" debuted at number 3 in the UK.
After collaborating on a track on her latest album, Red, Ed Sheeran is due to tour with Taylor Swift for the duration of her seven-month Red Tour of North America in 2013.
Performance date: 22 March 2013
