Holiday favorite A Christmas Story is hitting the road as it heads out on a limited festive run. Based on the hit '80s movie, A Christmas Story The Musical will begin its national tour in Sacramento on November 8!

Chris Carsten (Jean Shepherd),  Ian Shaw (Ralphie Parker), Christopher Swan (The Old Man), Briana Gantsweg (Mother), Lauren Kent (Miss Shields) all return to the production alongside additional members, Tommy Druhan (also as Ralphie Parker) and William Colin as Randy.

Matt Lenz directs the production which features a score by award-winning duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul and a book by Joseph Robinette.

What is A Christmas Story about?

Ralphie Parker wants only one thing for Christmas: An Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action 200-shot Range Model Air Rifle. His parents are not so keen on the idea, afraid that "You'll shoot your eye out!" But Ralphie is nothing but determined, and he's got a few tricks up his sleeve to make sure his dream comes true! Some of the obstacles lying in his way include the neighbour's dogs, his annoying younger brother and an unfortunate slip of the tongue that results in some literal soap in the mouth.

A Christmas Story heads out on tour from November 8.
